Tours
When booking a tour to visit Jessica and the hippo's you will receive a ticket that needs to be be presented at arrival. Otherwise you will not be able to attend.

Payment is to be made via credit card or in cash at arrival.

Bank transfer can exceptionally be used, but only if it has been agreed in advance and the payment is completed at least 1 week before the visit, as we need time to process and issue a new ticket. Prepaid tickets will not be refunded if you are not able to attend.

Accommodation
When booking one of our accommodations, a deposit of 50% of the price of the stay is to be paid upon booking (100% of the price for the stay if the booking is made less than 3 months before arrival) unless otherwise agreed and stated on the invoice. If the deposit is not paid before the stated deadline, the booking will be cancelled. 

The remaining amount for the stay must be paid and received by Jessica Hippo's no later than 30 days before arrival, unless otherwise stated in the forwarded invoice. In case of late payment, Jessica Hippo reserves the right to cancel the booking and keep the deposit paid.

Cancellation of the booking must be sent by email. A handling fee equal to the paid deposit will be charged if canceled earlier than 3 months before arrival. Cancellation later than 3 months before arrival results in loss of the right to a refund.

If the conditions at the destination within a period of 14 days before arrival are of such a nature that there will be imminent danger to the customer's life or health, i.e. acts of war, natural disasters, infectious diseases, the total price of the trip is refunded. However, it will be a condition that the authorities directly advise against traveling to the area in question.

We only keep your personal data as long as we are either under a legal obligation to do so or as long as it is relevant to the purpose for which it was collected.
